Belk Internship Program Summary
Do you want a career where you can use your skills to make a difference? Then Belk’s Retail Stores Management Internship program is a fit for you! This hands-on 10 week program is designed to sharpen your ability to drive results through strong business acumen and leadership skills. As a Retail Stores Management Intern you will gain experience and exposure to various functional areas of the store. You will focus on analyzing business trends while building relationships with executives, customers, and the sales team. You will gain experience through structured shadowing assignments, workshop modules, and formal mentorship during the 10 week program.

What happens after the Belk Internship Program?
Our goal is to show you a career path where you can become a Stores Management Executive Trainee upon college graduation. You will be provided with a real life snapshot of how run to a multimillion dollar business. From Stores Executive Management Trainee, you can be considered for Assistant Store Manager and then Store Manager. Through this program, continuing learning opportunities and on the job experience Belk will give you the exposure of how to be a successful Stores Executive in an environment where you can manage your career, influence change and drive the business.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
· Graduation date between December 2015 and May 2016
· Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
· Strong communication and computer skills
· Retail selling/management and customer service experience
Internship Logistics
· 10 week, paid internship with locations across 16 states
· Start date: June 2015
· Interns are responsible for their own housing, transportation and meals
