Ensures that policies and procedures are executed in order to secure merchandise, physical property, and virtual assets, as well as safety and disaster response.
o Conducts associate check in/check out and random search procedures and documents findings.
o Executes regular physical audit of facility physical security controls, including primary and remote properties; reports findings and compliance rates.
o Ensures that daily yard checks are conducted, trailers are properly logged in/out and secure while located on the premises and compiles all related reports. Assists in trailer seal audit processes as is necessary or directed.
o Conducts CCTV surveillance of the distribution center facility to detect and document incidents of theft and unsafe activity; reviews video footage from non-peak times to ensure compliance with safety and security controls.
o Educates distribution center associates in the safe and effective use of specialized and unique equipment, including warehouse vehicles, repair machinery, etc. to minimize incidents and liability.
o Maintains inventory of surveillance equipment, trailer storage yard (inbound and outbound) activity, lock cores, keys, and other physical security assets.
§ Participates in regular meetings designed to educate, engage and drive participation in effective safety and Loss Prevention efforts.
o Assists the Loss Prevention Manager in maintaining an open and positive work environment where enforcement of policy and procedure standards minimizes loss while maintaining high levels of productivity and Associate Engagement.
o Engages in positive relationships with temporary staffing partners, including contracted workers and transportation employees to ensure all associates uphold Loss Prevention and safety standards; reports incidents of inappropriate or unsafe behavior to the Loss Prevention Manager and distribution center management.
o Maintains strong partnerships with contracted security providers to ensure high standards of service and training. Assists in training of new contracted security associates as needed.
§ Assists the LP Manager in conducting investigations, interviews, and case procedure in partnership with the Supply Chain and corporate Loss Prevention departments.
o Ensures that all Loss Prevention incidents and accidents are documented, communicated, and resolved appropriately.
o Apprehends individuals involved in theft, signs warrants, and attends court, based on direction from the Loss Prevention Manager
o Investigates claims related to merchandise fulfillment and/or delivery; uses exception-based reporting and/or other specialized tools to research and present findings to the Loss Prevention Manager and the Director of Distribution.
o Assists stores in resolving actual and/or perceived pre-delivery or in transit shortage-related issues
o Audits cartons, shipping records, and safety standards on a routine basis.
