Information Technology Internship Program: Position Description

Internship Program Summary
Do you want a career where you can use your technology and analytical skills to make a difference? Then the Information Technology Internship program at Belk is a fit for you! This intensive 10 week program is designed to sharpen your ability to drive results through strong business acumen and leadership skills. As an Information Technology Intern, you will gain experience and exposure to various functional areas of Belk’s corporate IT departments including eCommerce, Data Warehouse, Information Delivery and Quality Assurance. Belk is seeking IT Summer Interns to support the following roles:
· Business Intelligence Application Support Intern
· eCommerce Business Analyst Intern
· eCommerce Mobile Engineering Intern
· eCommerce Data Analyst Intern (SQL/DB Skills required)
· Quality Assurance Intern

What can you bring to the Internship Program?
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with a record of achievement, academic focus in Information Systems, Software Engineering or Computer Science highly preferred
· Strong written and verbal communication
· Leadership skills that include professional business ethics, confidence and self-motivation
· Demonstrated ability to solve problems and manage complex relationships
· Ability to prioritize projects and execute multiple tasks
· Strong business background with ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and take action
Internship Logistics
· 10 week, paid internship based in Charlotte, NC
· Start date: June 2015
· Interns are responsible for their own housing, transportation and meals
